    Programmatic Evaluation and Revenue Diversification
    Presenter: David Sheaffer, Director, Brown Edwards

    As organizations adapt to a new normal with the height of the pandemic being further in the rearview mirror, they may face continued challenges.  The obvious is the absence of supporting federal funds; however, budgeting for this change has been compounded by a period of sustained inflation rates at levels not seen since the early 1980s.  Though the inflation rate has subsided recently, the challenges remain.  To navigate these times, internal evaluation of programs and revenue diversification could provide the needed lifeboat.  In this presentation, we will explore considerations when evaluating programs for modification or elimination and when evaluating revenue diversification.

    Basics of Board Governance
    Presenter: Ron Hoch, Head of School, Redeemer Classical School

    In this session, we’ll take a look at the three different modes in which non-profit Boards ought to operate, fiduciary (legal, financial, and missional), strategic (long-term thinking and planning), and generative (diving deeper into who we are as an organization and how that should shape us today and into the future) as well as some of the common struggles that face even the best Boards.
